AMIA at an International Level

AMIA maintains close bonds with the Jewish Communities in Latin America and the world. It does so directly by promoting the presence of its lay leaders and professional staff at AMIA and also through visits and meetings in the different countries.

AMIA is an active partner in centralizing institutions such as the Latin American Jewish Congress, the American Jewish Committee, the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture, the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education and as a guest at the OAS (Organization of American States), the World Jewish Congress and the Jewish Agency for Israel.

It shares projects with international Jewish institutions like the American Joint Distribution Committee, the University of Bar Ilan, Keren Pincus for Jewish Education and the Olei of Israel, among others, and with organizations of the civil society in Europe and the United States.

Representatives of these organizations as well as congressmen and state authorities usually visit AMIA’s headquarters in Buenos Aires and they always open their visit paying homage at the monument in honor of the victims of the terrorist attack that suffered AMIA in July 18th, 1994.
