The Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) Visited AMIA

Members of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) visited AMIA’s building in November and paid homage to the victims of the terrorist attack of July 18th, 1994.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Israel, Dan Meridor, the Presidents of the Jewish Agency, Natan Sharansky and of the World Zionist Organization (WZO), Abraham Duvdevani and AMIA’s President, Guillermo Borger, were present at the ceremony together with over 250 community leaders from the United States, Europe, Israel and Australia and other personalities. 

The Board of Governors (Jever Haneemanim) is an organization that represents all the Jews of the word holds meetings three times a year. After 15 years, this important forum decided to meet outside of Israel and the chosen place was Buenos Aires, where the most important Jewish Community of Latin America resides.
