PERAJ: University Students Tutor Primary School Children to Aid in their Development

This Project is being carried out in the City of Buenos Aires and in the cities of Santa Fe and Bariloche. 50 young students from public and private universities and schools are part of the program, as well as 50 vulnerable children from private schools as well as schools that are part of the Jewish Educational Network. Vulnerable in social or economic terms, or within their own families, these children benefit from the close bond they create with their tutors.

AMIA FOR KIDS: Cultural Program Specially Designed for Children

A varied cultural offer, both in our Auditorium and in other spaces shared with the Administration of the City of Buenos Aires. The offer includes theatre, art, recreation, activities throughout the year and special programs during school recesses.

This is an innovative Project that offers not only an opportunity for socially vulnerable children to enjoy art, but also favors social inclusion and multicultural encounters. Children from the Jewish community and from extremely vulnerable areas of the City of Buenos Aires take part in this project.

LEARNING AT HOME (HIPPY): A Program aimed at Strengthening Child Development at Home

HIPPY aims to imporve educaional outcomes for children in vulnerable households, strengthen parent-child relationships, and reinforce the role of parents as educators. HIPPY- Home Instruction Program for Parents of Preschool and Youngsters- this program functions and has yielded results in more than 12 countries, and for the past two years in Buenos Aires in a joint initiative of AMIA and the city’s governemnt.

The department of Social Programs at AMIA has opened a new area dedicated to childhood. This area is the newest addition to the department, which already has areas of social services, services for the elderly and disabled and volunteering services in place.
