Community Services

AMIA has had a Funeral Services (known today as Community Services) Department since its creation.These services are a constituent part of its founding objectives.

Its main mission is to assist the Community in ensuring that every Jewish person has access to the Kever Israel (traditional Jewish funeral), assisting both in practical and spiritual terms, and providing comfort and support to mourning families. It preserves, manages and offers services in the cemeteries of Liniers, Tablada and Berazategui, and in the Community Funeral House, complying with the laws and regulations that rule the Jewish history and tradition, and ensuring they are observed by all the involved providers. During the last years, the job of the Department was redesigned under the premise that its main objective entailed the provision of certain services, such as organizing religious ceremonies, erecting monuments, engraving stone plaques, and providing maintenance services for the graves, among others. Today, this area renews its commitment of care and respect towards the recipients of its services. This is why it has undergone a quality management process and achieved ISO 9001/2000 certification.
